    Rajneesh Bhandari is the founder and chief editor of NIMJN. He leads investigations and training at NIMJN. Rajneesh is an award-winning and experienced multimedia journalist, investigative reporter, filmmaker, and educator who has worked with major news outlets around the world. His multimedia work on different issues have appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic, Aljazeera, AJ+, BBC Reel, Contrast VR, NPR, and other outlets. He has reported extensively on Nepal’s social political issues, including the 2006 April movement and 2025 GenZ uprising for Nepali and international media amongst many other important events.

      Journalists and media leaders are working under increasing pressure, without space to reflect on how leadership decisions are made. This session brings together two inclusion-focused media leaders, working in investigative and independent journalism, to explore how well-being practices can be integrated into newsrooms and in personal work schedules without becoming another burden.

      Drawing on lived leadership experience across diverse cultural contexts, we examine well-being as a collective practice rather than an individual coping strategy. The session gives participants practical insights into how reflection and boundaries/discipline can support ethical decision-making and long-term sustainability in journalism. With breathing exercises and space for sharing experiences.

In Asia’s highly diverse media landscape, journalists and communicators often engage multilingual, multicultural, and cross-border audiences with different expectations, identities, and lived experiences.

      This session will explore how to create messages and stories that resonate across communities while avoiding stereotypes, exclusion, or cultural blind spots.

      Topics may include inclusive language, accessibility, representation, communicating in crisis situations, and navigating local versus global perspectives. Ideal for journalists, communications professionals, and emerging leaders, this discussion offers practical insights for anyone working across cultures in an interconnected world.
