Jhoanna Lou Albano is a journalist based in Manila, Philippines. A managing editor at GMA News Online covering the lifestyle and culture verticals, Lou has also taken charge of the climate coverage of the digital group beginning in 2021n. She has since reported on the intersections of gender and climate, plastic pollution and health, as well as art and the environment, and climate and cities. Lou was the only Filipino member of the second cohort of the Oxford Climate Journalism Network and belonged to the 2022 Executive Leadership Program of the Asian-American Journalists Association. In 2024, Lou was awarded a CCMP Fellowship from the Earth Journalism Network to cover COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
