Jing Yang is the Asia Bureau Chief at The Information. Based in Hong Kong, Jing leads a team of reporters covering the region’s vibrant tech and venture capital scene. She has written and overseen agenda-setting stories on topics ranging from AI to semiconductors to marquee companies like Nvidia and ByteDance. Prior to joining The Information, Jing served as a senior correspondent at The Wall Street Journal and held reporting roles at Bloomberg News and the South China Morning Post. Jing has won three SOPA Awards, three SABEW awards and an Overseas Press Club Award in the US. She is also an honorary lecturer at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Future Media and a judge of the SOPA and SABEW awards.
