Anupama Chandrasekaran is an award-winning Indian journalist who believes in the power of mixed media to tell impactful stories. She works with India’s community radios to create a solution-focused podcast series. Her audio stories have been featured on BBC, Deutsche Welle, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and the Stanford Social Innovation Review, while her writing has appeared in NPR, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Reuters. A New York University graduate, Anupama’s career has taken her from reporting on Dalal Street in Mumbai to covering Wall Street for Reuters, and later leading the Chennai bureau of Mint business daily in South India. After a data journalism fellowship, she is focused on boosting her programming skills to analyze data and create visualizations, enhancing her ability to tell changemaking stories in collaboration with grassroots reporters.
