Jimmy Ong

    Senior Director, Technical Ops APAC, CNBC

    As Senior Director of Technical Operations APAC, Jimmy Ong manages CNBC APAC’s production
    operation, including facilities, security, and Environment, Health and Safety. He is based in
    Singapore.
    With over 30 years of experience in broadcast transmission and news production operations, he
    has led CNBC APAC’s studio design and build projects, undertaken various local and overseas
    events, as well as live outside broadcast production for TV and on Digital platforms, such as
    CNBC’s Asia Business Leaders Award show.
    Jimmy joined Asia Business News, CNBC APAC’s predecessor in 1993, and has previously held
    roles of Studio Supervisor and News Studio Director. Before ABN and CNBC, he was in a
    supervisory position at Singapore’s first cable TV, formerly Singapore CableVision (now known as
    Starhub).
