Cai U. Ordinario

Cai U. Ordinario is the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reporter of the Business Mirror. She also writes macroeconomic and urban development stories for the publication. She has received awards for excellence in reporting on the macroeconomy, agriculture, and statistics. Last year, Cai was selected to be the lone Filipino participant in the US State Department’s International Visitor’s Leadership Program (IVLP) Multi-Regional Program on Official Development Assistance-Foreign Investment. She was also a Jefferson Fellow of the East West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2022, she was the President of the Economic Journalist’s Association of the Philippines, the premier organization of business journalists in the country. She is currently taking up her PhD in Philippine Studies at the University of the Philippines Diliman where she also completed her master’s degree in communication. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Major in Journalism degree from the University of Santo Tomas where she now teaches business and data journalism courses in the undergraduate and graduate levels.
