    Anand Mathai is Editor-in-Chief at Coconuts Media : Before becoming editor-in-chief, Anand was part of the launch team for Coconuts Jakarta in 2014 and won a Society of Publishers in Asia award for investigative reporting in 2020. He was previously the managing editor of Time Out Jakarta and DA MAN magazines and features editor at The Jakarta Globe newspaper.

      The workshop will target students in journalism and news media professionals eager to learn the skills needed to navigate the ever-evolving social media landscape. Coconuts Media editors will share the techniques they use to find stories that are getting buzzed about on social media as well as the tools used to research and verify them. They will also discuss how to optimize content for different social media platforms and what journalists should know about developing their own social presence.
