Stephanie Tangkilisan

Stephanie is an Indonesian born and raised filmmaker currently living in New York. As Head of Production for EST Media, she oversees the creation and post-production of short documentary and explainer content. She took on her first newsroom internship at 18 reporting on the Jakarta bombings before eventually turning to documentary filmmaking. Her first short, Trouble Finds You went on to be nominated for the BAFTA Students Best Short Documentary and was acquired by First Look Media’s The Intercept. Her producing credits have included several ViceTV’s hour-long shows like Michael K. WIlliams’ Black Market. Daughter of a journalist and the granddaughter of a political prisoner, she is motivated in holding those with power accountable.
