Jane Christine Zhang

Jane Zhang is a former Senior Writer at Mothership.sg. At Mothership.sg, she led the Perspectives column, publishing longform interviews and commentaries about topics such as migrant workers, single mothers, hawker culture, and living with a disability. She also covered breaking news, Parliament, Covid-19, the 2020 General Election, crime, environment, and lifestyle. In September, Jane will be starting her master’s degree at New York University’s joint Global Journalism and International Relations Program. As a journalist, Jane hopes to produce longform work that explores the intersections of social issues like race, immigration, gender, and class, and to center marginalized voices in order to have a direct impact on policy decisions.
