    Ellis Ng (they/them) is a social media producer with Reuters news agency. They work to verify and acquire third-party user generated content as part of Reuters’ breaking news coverage, and have assisted in the agency’s coverage of breaking news events like the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the takeover of the Taliban in Afghanistan and the coup in Myanmar in 2021, as well as the police crackdown of pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong in 2019. They have had seven years of work in various digital news media such as Mashable and Mothership.sg.
