    Jaeson Ma is a media executive, artist, and serial entrepreneur. He is the founder/partner of multiple companies focused on the Asian market through entertainment, media, and technology. He is a principal co-owner in social music video app Triller. In 2017, he co-founded Stampede Ventures with former Warner
    Bros President Greg Silverman. In 2015, he co-founded 88rising, a multi-platform digital media company for Asia-related digital content. He is also the founder and general partner of East West Ventures (EWV), an entertainment & lifestyle fund focused on investing in culture changing companies that influence the next generation.

      All along N3Con 2021's week, AAJA-Asia members will take you for a virtual tour of Asia newsrooms and media companies over lunch time. Each session will feature a conversation with a media executive sharing insights about her/his organization's work, processes, career opportunities, challenges... Today, we will be visiting LA based media start-up the Eastern Standard Times (EST), a new global voice for Asia. Co founders Jaeson Ma and Eric Tu will give an overview of EST’s mission, inspiration and journey. Other EST founding members will discuss EST’s editorial voice, content verticals and short Video Doc Strategy.

      N3ConU is AAJA-Asia's dedicated program for students in journalism. In this N3Con's session, participants will have the opportunity to informally chat with early-career journalists. Speakers will share insights on how to maximize opportunities while still schooling to get a head-start, build one's brand as a young journalist, and practical tips on getting internships and being a standout reporter in different newsrooms. The founders and content team of Eastern Standard Times (EST) will introduce EST’s mission and discuss job and internship opportunities for students looking to experiment and grow with a new media startup.
