Tamala Chirwa is an International Coach Federation (ICF) Credentialed Associate Certified Coach specializing in Executive Leadership and Group and Team Coaching. She is a Certified DISC Practitioner, and Leadership Consultant with vast experience in designing and delivering leadership development and coach-training programmes.
Tamala is based in Malawi, Southern Africa and currently serves as Director, WAN-IFRA – Women in News Africa (Women in News aims to increase women’s leadership and voices in the news by equipping women journalists and editors with the skills, strategies, and support networks to take on greater leadership positions within their media).
Tamala also heads Professional Coaching Institute, a coach-training company and is the Founder of Women’s Leadership Footprint, a Coaching Practice that supports women in leadership. Her most recent engagements include: Subject Matter Expert/Coach for the MBA Leadership Lab at African Leadership University; Malawi Coach/Cohort Facilitator for the Breakfast Club Africa. She works with leaders who intentionally seek to transform their leadership journeys for their own growth and effectiveness to inspire people they lead. Her coaching philosophy is on the premise that high performers/potentials must be adequately supported to sustain the successes they register in their career trajectories to build powerful legacies. She is committed to significantly contribute towards advancing the coaching agenda in Africa to enhance leadership capacity for African leaders.
