Victor Peña is the Director of Video at Goldthread, a social first and video-driven platform with a focus on food, travel and culture in China launched by the South China Morning Post (SCMP). He joined in April 2018 and provides creative direction for Goldthread’s extensive visual storytelling, as well as oversee all production and post-production for all video content published across social platforms.
Prior to joining Goldthread, he was the Founder, Director of Post Production and later a Creative Director of PegLeg Productions and responsible for business development, post-production, client management and creative direction, having established himself as a specialist in post-production workflow, 3D and 2D animation, visual effects, editing, colouring and audio mastering.
He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with interests in sculpture, furniture design and music composition. He has also taught film and post-production at a not-for-profit foundation, Focus on Film.
