For many years, he has been a lecturer and consultant at the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, American Press Institute, National Association of Black Journalists, Asian American Journalists Association and National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He also serves as a consultant to Unity, Journalists of Color. In addition, Dr. Brown has made numerous presentations to the American Society of Newspaper Editors, American Press Institute and the Newspaper Association of America.
