Victoria Eastwood is the Director of Coverage for CNN International, based at the Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. She is responsible for news coverage from the Asia-Pacific region, as well as running the network’s global coverage for key parts of the day.
Before moving to Hong Kong, Eastwood was the Senior News Editor in CNN’s Europe headquarters in London, planning coverage across EMEA. She played a major role in covering the terror attacks across Europe, Brexit and national elections. Prior to that, she worked primarily in the field on breaking news and investigative reporting, in particular, working with CNN’s Diplomatic Editor Nic Robertson.
Eastwood joined CNN in 2011 as a producer based in Johannesburg. Before that she worked for Al Jazeera English in London, and spent five years at ITN’s Channel 4 News. She started out at BBC Radio 4, working on The World Tonight programme.
She grew up in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, in the UK. She studied politics at Exeter University and completed a post graduate diploma in broadcast journalism in Falmouth, UK.
